About Me

It was while working as an actor that I got into photography. I was in a couple of shows at the Donmar and, wanting to give the rest of the cast original 1st night cards, I took my dad’s old Olympus to the tech and shot stills backstage and from the stalls.

As soon as I got the first set of grainy, black and white prints back from Snappy Snaps (this was 2002, before the digital ‘revolution’) I was hooked: you could tell almost the whole story of Uncle Vanya in a handful of images just by selectively placing a frame around the characters.
